Rudy Vasquez has lived in San Antonio for over 68 years. He grew up in this community. He raised his family here. He knows what life looks like for working families in South Texas — and he knows what it feels like when the system seems stacked against you.

That is exactly why he became a personal injury lawyer.

Growing up, Rudy watched people in his community get hurt — by accidents, by negligence, by companies that put profits over people — and have no real way to fight back. Not enough money. Not enough access. Not enough power.

He decided to do something about it.

Rudy earned his undergraduate degree from St. Mary's University in San Antonio in 1981. He went on to earn his law degree from The University of Texas School of Law in Austin, graduating in 1986. He has been a licensed Texas attorney since November 1986.

In December 1993, Rudy became Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization — one of the highest credentials a personal injury attorney can hold in Texas. He has been recertified every five years since. That is not a participation trophy. That is a track record.

Over his career, Rudy has recovered millions of dollars for South Texas families injured in car accidents, truck crashes, workplace accidents, and other serious injury cases.

He has also served on the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee — the body that handles complaints against attorneys — because he believes lawyers should be held to a high standard. Especially the ones handling your case.

Rudy is a proud member of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association and the Mexican American Bar Association.

And yes — he speaks Spanish. Not textbook Spanish. South Texas Spanish. Your Spanish.

Today, Rudy's daughter Renee Victoria Vasquez has joined the firm as an associate attorney. Renee handles personal injury claims alongside her father, as well as Bexar County probate, guardianship, and divorce matters.
